Who am i?
I am Mike Ekholm, from Richfield, Minnesota, A city just south of
MinneapolisMinnesota. I have lived in
Minnesota for all of my life. I lived in
Minneapolis until I was 15 or so,
then moved to Richfield. I went to Minneapolis
north community high school for grades 9 to 12, then attended Dunwoody Techinal institute and
received a AAS degree in computer and digital systems.
I have several hobbies. I still have my original computer hobby that I have had since 1994, and have
been able to have make in to a career, which is computers.I like playing around with the UNIX
operating environment, and have several UNIX machines at home. Even with the Linux craze, I still
prefer the Solaris environment, as from my experience, Sparc hardware is more dependable than good
old PC hardware. Some of my other hobbies include Ham Radio, and RC cars.
From a professional
standpoint, I am a UNIX Systems Engeneer, and have been doing such things professionally for about
4 years. I deal mainly with Solaris, but have also used AIX, HP-UX IRIX and Linux.
